Virtual Author Visit to Your Book Club or Other Group
It’s been a great year and I want to give back to my readers. Here’s a gift to you: If your book club, community group, workplace, school, church, or other organization commits to reading Meet Me Halfway: Milwaukee Stories, I will do a virtual author visit (via Skype, Google, FaceTime, etc.) to answer questions and talk about the themes in the book — for free!
Contact me at info@moraleswrites.com with the month your group will read Meet Me Halfway and we’ll set up a date that works for all of us. (See below for a few reasons your book club should read the book!)
Meet Me Halfway is a great book club read. Here’s why:
1. It’s an accessible way to start talking about race and difference, through compelling fictional characters who feel real.
2. It’s a collection of short stories, so your members can read it in smaller segments. Plus, it’s a quick read — only 200 pages.
3. The Chicago Book Review called Meet Me Halfway “truly masterful” with a message that’s “evergreen and universally relevant.” Book List said it’s a “candid and powerful book.” The Wisconsin Center for the Book chose it to represent the state at the National Book Festival as Wisconsin’s Book of the Year.
4. I’ll virtual-visit your book club, community group, church, school, or other organization!
